Synopsis

Setting out on a campaign to make new friends and meet “like-minded people”, Angelo Nussbaum unwittingly attracts the attention of a mysterious tourist. Friend, foe, or social competitor? Who is Ert and what the hell is he up to?

Filmed on location during Event Horizon, one of the most daring and provocative public art installations to hit NYC, the story unfolds around a newly perceived Gotham, rife with intrigue and oddity.

Bios

Steven Bradley Nelson  Producer, "Angelo"

Steven Bradley Nelson Founder and President of the production company, Scenes And Subtle Sounds, Steven is one of the great multi-taskers. As an actor he has appeared in numerous short films and off-Broadway productions including Chapter 4 (2011 Sundance Film Festival) and The Cherry Orchard. As a professional sound recordist Steven has logged thousands of hours on television and film sets and is the creator of the upcoming comedy series, At Home with Effie. He is also an accomplished banjo player and resides in Upper Manhattan.

Jon B. Kushner  Director

Jon B. Kushner A Manhattan based screen-writer, director, musician and actor, Kushner started his career at the Tribeca Film Center in the late 90's. He studied script at UCLA and drama in New York under the late great Gene Frankel. His first long-form short film "The Harbormaster", tracked the oddball days of a man obsessed with a 70's soft-rock song. For that project, in which he played the titular character, Kushner co-wrote and performed on 5 original songs for the soundtrack. He counts Hal Ashby, Sidney Lumet, Woody Allen and NYC among his many influences.

Kevin Danenberg  Composer

Kevin Danenberg Kevin holds a degree in Jazz Studies from the The Hartt School, where he studied under world-renowned saxophonist Jackie McLean. He arranges and leads the horn section of The Duke Baxter Band, a wedding band specializing in classic soul music, and his tenor adds fire to "spy jazz" powerhouse The BlackTails. Prior soundtrack work includes an abstract 1994 production featuring the avant-garde Emphasis Orchestra. With a background in computer science and graphic design, Kevin also develops professional database and web applications.

Jason Rogers  Director of Photography

Jason Rogers Jason's background in commercial photography informed many of the elegant, yet stirring set-ups in Angelo & Ert. His still-work has been featured in various magazines including Dwell and Stir and he often travels the globe on assignment for a variety of corporate and non-profit organizations. He co-produced The Harbormaster with Jon B. Kushner and his time-lapse video of the NYC skyline was projected at Madison Square Garden for the last concert of LCD Soundsystem. He calls both Brooklyn and Miami his home territory.
